Runs on Coffee and Cream

It's cold and snowy and winter is officially here. To top it off, we've had furnace issues so our house has been extra cold. I'm living in extra thick socks, sweatpants, and giant sweaters. I'm finding every excuse to snuggle under blankets and I'm coaxing Seymore to come snuggle on my lap.

I've been on the lookout for comfy sweaters to add to my wardrobe for the upcoming cold months I have ahead. These are my favourites:

Happy Friday! Let's get right to my fandom favourites this week...

1. It took me a bit to get to, but I finally finished season 2 of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. I enjoyed this season just as much as the first season. I loved Tina Fey's character and seeing Titus grow in a relationship was super sweet. And not to give out spoilers, but damn, I loved how the season ended. I'm pumped for season 3 already!


2. As we get closer to the new Ghostbusters release date, more and more Ghostbusters' merch is popping up online (just not in Canadian stores *insert sad face*). I'm head over heels in love with these Ghostbuster designs and I so badly want both on t-shirts.

This upcoming weekend is a long weekend for Canadians and it symbolizes the beginning of Summer for most people. A lot of people head to the cottage or trailer for barbecues and campfires. Then you typically end the weekend with fireworks. We don't always have plans for this specific long weekend but this year we have some fun things planned and I'm really looking forward to it.

Because of the long weekend coming up and the beautiful, sunny weather we've been having, I'm in a Summer-mindset. I'm so ready for it!

These are just a few things that scream 'Summer' to me. I'm ready for camping, bonfires, road trips, cold treats, and sunny days!

Yesterday was the first official day of Spring and I'm so ready for it! Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Winter-hater but I'm so done with snow and I want all the sunshine right now!

It doesn't look like Spring has actually shown up... we have a snow storm warning for later this week and it was freezing out today. But it should be around the corner! At least I hope so...

When looking at items I've pinned and saved to my bookmarks lately, it seems I have a blue obsession. I think it's going to be my Spring colour this year.

If you follow me on Pinterest, you must notice all the purses I pin, especially from ModCloth and Kate Spade. I don't always like conventional purses - fun prints, graphics, or designs win me over. As well as, I've always been a big fan of menswear-inspired bags. These bags currently top my purse wish list:

One of my favourite things to do is to try different coffee and bake shops. This is because of a couple of reasons: 

Christmas is two days away and I'm feeling pretty excited about it - all the family visits, eating yummy food, exchanging gifts with Adam, stockings... it's always a fun couple of days.

Now, if I could pick out my ideal Christmas Day outfit, all of these items would top my list!

Cold, Winter days are upon us and I'm already wearing my Winter coat daily now. Honestly though, I love wearing layers and I'm not going to complain about living in comfy leggings, oversized sweaters and cardigans. I just wish I was able to wear dresses at work, even though that'd be ridiculous if you knew where I worked. But I want more opportunities to dress up. That's one thing I miss about working in an office - I could live in dresses and tights.

Now if I had the money and/or reasons to wear these dresses, they'd be added to my wardrobe asap!

This week the weather turned to Fall. The last couple of nights have dipped to the negative temperatures and the daytime highs have been quite chilly. We went outside a couple of days ago in jeans and sweaters and we were both still cold.

I'm not complaining though. I love snuggling up in giant sweaters and blankets when I'm at home. And using the cold weather as an excuse to drink as many hot drinks as possible makes me happy.

Tomorrow is September and that means Fall is around the corner! Eeee!

ModCloth has been releasing some amazing dresses that are perfect for Autumn and I want them all! Falling in love with dresses from ModCloth isn't a new thing, but with Autumn being my favourite season, I love these dresses even more since they'd be perfect with tights, boots, and a cardigan!

One of my favourite things about Summer is camping and being forced to spend time outdoors. Yes, I say forced because even though I love being outside, I get distracted indoors by my computer and television and couch. So when we go camping, I spend all my time outside, unless it's bedtime or raining.

These are some of my camping essentials as far as clothing and accessories go. I wouldn't mind adding some of these exact items to my wardrobe too...

The weather right now is perfect for a picnic. Not too hot but sunny and warm enough to be outside without a jacket. It has me daydreaming about going for a picnic.

Currently I'm obsessed with a few things, with Spring being the center of my obsessions. Going for walks, new cotton dresses, new tattoos to display, fun makeup... 

Spring is here but it's still hiding where I live. The weather is slowly getting warmer and the sun is out more. Snow is very slowly disappearing and some days it's too warm to wear a Winter coat. But I'm longing for real Spring weather! Weather that doesn't require leggings and just a cardigan or sweater is warm enough when outside.

I know Spring is on my mind when I'm eyeing up every floral print I see and looking for pretty jewelry.

I'm starting to feel an itch for Spring... stores at the mall are bringing out all their Spring stock - pastel coloured clothes, Easter decorations, patio sets. I'm feeling a strong urge for sunshine, going outside without a coat, and to garden (crazy, I know!).

Spring Treats

I've been finding myself pinning Spring-inspired desserts on Pinterest lately. Whether it's pretty pastel coloured desserts or light and fruity flavoured ones. When I saw this cake on there, my jaw dropped. It's gorgeous! The light pink and blue meringues are too sweet.

It's no secret that I'm a cat lady and love my two furbabies like crazy. Both ModCloth and Look Human only feed my cat obsession with their cat-themed clothes and accessories.

Valentine's Day is this Saturday and surprisingly both myself and Adam have the evening off together. Our work schedules don't normally line up this way but I'm not complaining. We don't normally do anything elaborate but, if we're free, we make a point of spending time together and doing something different from our everday life - whether it's a dinner we don't normally have, ordering food in, or heading out to the movies. This year we're eating dinner at home and then heading to the movies. I'm looking forward to spending a relaxing night with him.

And not that we buy anything crazy for one another, there are some things I wouldn't be opposed to receiving or wearing on this special day...

Christmas is SO soon! I'm spending the rest of my evening wrapping the last of the gifts and watching Elf. I just love this time of year.

My Christmas wish list was sent to Santa a while ago but thanks to online window shopping, I'm always adding to my wish list. These are a few things I'd love to add to my wardrobe and wear over the Christmas holidays.

It's sweater weather! It's been cold and snowy and I've been wearing layers every single day! Since moving to an area that typically has a longer Winter and that Winter is crazy cold, I've been slowly buying more and more sweaters. And if last year's Winter is any indication, I will continue to live in sweaters for the next 5 months. These sweaters would be ideal to have in my wardrobe...
