My Life In Photos

March is almost over and I couldn't be more excited for April. April means spring weather, Easter celebrations and Adam's birthday. All things I enjoy and it means I have a month of baking ahead of me!

Our last bit of snow that we got hit with while going for a walk downtown. We found a pretty cool wall mural hiding in an alleyway though.

My new favourite mug.

I finally pulled out my Tony Moly Pokemon makeup to use. The Jigglypuff colour suits my porcelain skin perfectly.

I knew I had to buy a bag as soon as I saw them in the Easter candy aisle: Carrot Cake Hershey Kisses! They're delicious with a cup of coffee.

Logan is enjoying the fresh air on one of the odd days I opened the windows in the house.

Seymore has been doing his best to find all the sunny spots in the house. I catch him almost daily lounging in a sunny area in the living room.

I started the month reading Bee and Puppycat.

I'm ending the month finishing the iZombie series.

I hope March treated you well!

My Life In Photos

Life has been a whirlwind of emotions lately; working a lot, sewing like crazy, getting excited for spring, getting frustrated having to shovel a ton of snow. I'm trying to stay organized, de-stressed, and positive but I've had some exhausting days. I enjoy these posts for the fact that I can look back at the good moments that I've had, no matter how small they might have been.

I picked this mug up at Chapters and I love it! Honestly, the entire Dayna Lee collection is amazing. Check it out!

Logan assumes us cleaning the bookshelf means he can investigate all areas he can fit.

I had a brutal cold for a few days a little while ago. I spent the weekend reading and relaxing to get myself better.

My craft room assistant.

Seymore can't handle me sewing for hours on end. He bugs me until I give him a solid 10 minutes of attention.

I have made a promise to myself to start doing yoga regularly again. It helps with my stress and I love how I feel afterwards.

Some days require sprinkles.

A mall date with Adam included a passionfruit bubble tea with strawberry popping bobas.

Every time there's sunshine I try my best to bask in it. It makes these long winters bearable.

Let's hope March turns out to be great and spring shows up early!

It's been cold and snowy and all I want to do is snuggle with kitties at home. I've been up to a little more than that but winter has exhausted me this year. I'm finding it hard to be productive since the weather is making me feel tired. I'm hoping things turn around this month!

An absolute must right now since my skin is so dry!

See? Kitty snuggles. He keeps me on the couch longer than I should be.

Typical outfit on days I'm off work. Lots of layers and warm socks.

We tried a new bakery here in the city and I'm so in love! It was adorable inside and the food was amazing.

I shared a raspberry crumble bar and a slice of chocolate pecan pie with Adam. He's lucky I shared.

Kitty tights + kitty.

He has a box problem.

I'm finally at a stage where I like my hair most days. It's grown to a great length and I'm loving the blonde.

I hope February is treating you well!

My Life In Photos

I'm having a hard time believing that January is just about over. This month has been all about new things and new beginnings; we've been organizing and decluttering, I've been buying new fabric and starting new sewing projects for cons, and I'm trying to organize my life with an in-depth planner.

New fabric!

More new fabric! How great is the Homer one?

The start of my addiction to planner stickers.

A winter walk at Bell Park.

That's a frozen Ramsey Lake in front of me.

The turtles are getting so big.

Logan being super adorable but a really bad assistant in the craft room. He believes all fabric and envelopes are for him to lie on.

I hope January was a great month for you! I'm excited to see what February has in store.

I ended 2016 in a donut onesie, playing Sushi Go with Adam, and joking around with him and my Instax camera. It was a great way to start the new year.

Over the holidays I was able to try the eggnog and gingerbread frozen yogurt at our local froyo place. The eggnog one was incredible!

We have been getting snow regularly since 2017 started. Living in this city really is like being inside a snow globe.

I received a ton of tea for Christmas but I'm not complaining. I've been having a cup of something new every night and I've already found a few new favourites.

It's been cold but it hasn't stopped us from venturing out for walks to local coffee shops and catching Pokemon.

How's 2017 been treating you so far?

Tomorrow is December. Crazy, right? Looking back at November I did a lot of sewing, hung out with cats, and made my house Christmas-cozy.

This is delicious! I have plans to make some mixed drinks with it during December.

I received a great parcel from a pen pal filled with amazing treats!

I've spent a good chunk of time in my craft room - prepping for Gateway FanEx and to update Etsy.

Logan has been my fluffy craft assistant.

We stood in line at 7 a.m. to pick up one of these. It's beyond adorable. I didn't realize how small it was. I so badly want to do a photo shoot with the cats with it. Adam seems to think this is a bad idea.

It's 'Seymore needs to sleep at our feet' weather!

I hope November was great for you! Bring on December!

Sweater Weather

It's cold and snowy and winter is officially here. To top it off, we've had furnace issues so our house has been extra cold. I'm living in extra thick socks, sweatpants, and giant sweaters. I'm finding every excuse to snuggle under blankets and I'm coaxing Seymore to come snuggle on my lap.

I've been on the lookout for comfy sweaters to add to my wardrobe for the upcoming cold months I have ahead. These are my favourites:

Clockwise from top right:
1. Meowy Catmas from Look Human
2. Cat's All, Folks from ModCloth
3. Shawl-Collar Cardi from Old Navy
4. Merry Xmas Things from Look Human
5. A Cozy Touch Sweater from ModCloth

I hope you're staying warm!

So February is over, huh? I'm not going to lie, I'm excited for March. Why? Because Spring is around the corner! Yes, we have a 5' snow fortress surrounding our house and we're hitting -30 degrees tonight but we're coming to the end of Winter!

This is how I spent February.

A not-so-small icicle hanging from our house. Our front door is basically booby-trapped with these.

Logan loves the turtles. I keep catching him hanging out with them and being super adorable.

Seymore being Seymore.

I made some super yummy cinnamon rolls for IGGPPC in February. You can find the recipe here.

A new gourmet doughnut shop opened near us and we've been twice! We've tried the Maple Bacon, Cookies and Cream, Coconut Lime, and Maple French Toast. They are incredible! Super fluffy and so tasty. If you're ever in the area, check out Mighty Canadian Doughnuts.

One of my favourite glasses. I got it for Christmas in a 2-pack. Wait until you see the other cup!

We spent an evening building the Lego Ghostbusters set. I absolutely love the minifigures of the guys.

February was a month of staying indoors and being snuggly. I'm looking forward to heading outside more in March though.
