All About Love

February is upon us which means it's the month of pink, hearts, and all things love! I tend to gravitate towards heart sprinkles, pink and red clothes, and being extra mushy towards Adam during the month. To get into the spirit of the month, I made a wish list of my favourite heart/pink/love things right now.

Clockwise from top right:
1. Guava Pink Gold Hearts Nordic Mug
2. Oversized Teacup
3. Heart & Dots Mini Pillow
4. Kate Spade Roses bag
5. Coffee Love Tee

I have a few baking plans for this month that involve hearts and some chocolate recipes too. I'll be sure to share the finished pictures!

Summertime Wish List

Happy first day of Summer! This past weekend has been a scorcher. We spent Saturday evening eating ice cream and hanging out at the beach. I went into the lake, but only up to my knees because the water is still incredibly cold.

With Summer here, I decided to make up a Summer wish list - s'mores, sunglasses, iced tea, cross-body bags, and flower vases definitely top my list right now.

1. S'mores tank from Look Human
2. Sunglasses from Kate Spade
3. Vase from Chapters Indigo
4. Ceramic mason jar from Davids Tea
5. Star Wars purse from Dooney & Bourke

What tops your Summer wish list?

Fandom Favourites

Hello! This past weekend was Toronto ComiCon and what do comic conventions usually do? Make me want to buy all the things! I was pretty good in controlling myself with purchases but I have a giant wish list for future conventions and for my birthday this Summer.

1. There were so many girls (of all ages) dressed as Rey at the convention and it has me wanting to try her hairstyle and wear this dress from We Love Fine.

2. The Powerpuff Girls are back April 4th! I love the original series and I know this new series will feel different, especially with new voice actors. But I can't wait to see the girls in action again.

3. I recently had a favourite episodes of Gilmore Girls marathon with a friend and all it did was re-ignite my Gilmore Girls love. I desperately need this tank from Look Human even though it's probably not true.

4. So when browsing Kate Spade's website recently I noticed their Minnie Mouse collection. Can we all agree this Minnie Mouse bow clasp is too precious?!

5. Everywhere I look right now I find these Funko Disney Mystery Minis Blind Boxes. They are SO cute. So far I've held off buying any, but every time I see them my self control weakens.

Springtime Wish List

Yesterday was the first official day of Spring and I'm so ready for it! Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Winter-hater but I'm so done with snow and I want all the sunshine right now!

It doesn't look like Spring has actually shown up... we have a snow storm warning for later this week and it was freezing out today. But it should be around the corner! At least I hope so...

When looking at items I've pinned and saved to my bookmarks lately, it seems I have a blue obsession. I think it's going to be my Spring colour this year.

1     2     3     4     5     6

Pastels, light cotton dresses, open toed shoes... I cannot wait for some warmer weather!

All the Purses

If you follow me on Pinterest, you must notice all the purses I pin, especially from ModCloth and Kate Spade. I don't always like conventional purses - fun prints, graphics, or designs win me over. As well as, I've always been a big fan of menswear-inspired bags. These bags currently top my purse wish list:

1     2     3     4     5     6

As the seasons change, so do my purses. I'm not one to change my bag weekly or even monthly. I can't be bothered. But once Spring peeks out, even just a little bit, I'll be running to change over to one of my 'Spring' bags.

Christmas Day Style

Christmas is two days away and I'm feeling pretty excited about it - all the family visits, eating yummy food, exchanging gifts with Adam, stockings... it's always a fun couple of days.

Now, if I could pick out my ideal Christmas Day outfit, all of these items would top my list!
1     2     3     4     5     6     7

I'm a sucker for anything Christmas-themed, so all of these clothes and accessories are pretty amazing. I'm especially fond of those gift bow earrings and ornament clutch.

Are you ready for Christmas? I have very little left to do except try to squeeze in as much sleep as possible to prep for 3 busy days.

I hope everyone has a safe and lovely Christmas!

What I'm Loving Now

First off, Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Canadians! It's been a chilly month so far and we've had more rain than sunshine. Which means I've been indoors keeping busy and getting through a lot of TV and books.

Isla and the Happily Ever After

I flew through the third book in the Anna and the French Kiss series, Isla and the Happily Ever After. I really, really enjoyed it. This book takes place back in France, and a little bit in NYC. I really love the descriptive setting Stephanie Perkins writes. I really get a visual of where the characters are. Isla and Josh have become my second favourite couple from this series (Lola and Cricket still top the list). I found Josh to be the most likable male character of the three books. He seemed the most real and his emotions caused emotions in me. There was only a small bit in this book where all three couples collide and reside in the same space. I'm really hoping there's a fourth book planned so we can see what the future holds for these couples.

Kate Spade & Magnolia Bakery Collection

I received the email for this collection this morning and instantly my mouth dropped. I've visited NYC four times so far and I was completely swept away by Magnolia Bakery. Yes, the first time I checked out the bakery was because of its appearance on Sex and The City. But man, their cupcakes are incredible. So sweet and creamy and buttery. Their cupcakes are classic. So to combine that with Kate Spade, you have the sweetest collection in my opinion. I'd be incredibly happy to own anything from this collection. These are some of my favourites though.

What I'm Loving Now

This last couple of weeks have been all about getting ready for camping but I did squeeze in some fun things and ate yummy food, especially since my birthday was earlier this week.

S'Moreos

So they're not actually called that, but I had the opportunity to finally try the Limited Edition S'mores Oreos. I was lucky enough to receive a pack of them in the mail from an amazing IGGPPC member. And they're easily one of the best Oreos I've ever had. The cookie is graham cracker and the middle is a marshmallow-chocolate creme. Yum!

Oh, and a pack of Peanut Butter Cup Oreos arrived in my mailbox too!

The Cat's Meow Collection

I received a Kate Spade email this week about their new collection and let me tell you, I want it all! Kate Spade + cats = best accessories ever! I may splurge on something with my birthday money.

I hope you're having a great weekend!

Springtime Wish List

Spring is here but it's still hiding where I live. The weather is slowly getting warmer and the sun is out more. Snow is very slowly disappearing and some days it's too warm to wear a Winter coat. But I'm longing for real Spring weather! Weather that doesn't require leggings and just a cardigan or sweater is warm enough when outside.

I know Spring is on my mind when I'm eyeing up every floral print I see and looking for pretty jewelry.

I've never been much of a floral print person but as I get older, I like it more and more. My favourite dress is #7 - it's like you're wearing a garden!

What I'm Loving Now

I've been slowly getting back into my routine since the holidays are over now. I'm back to reading regularly and listening to my audio books. I've also been playing more video games with Adam.

Yes Please

Earlier this week I finished the Yes Please audio book. I was itching to listen to this book since Amy is the narrator and it did not let me down. I laughed out loud quite a few times and I just really appreciated Amy's honesty throughout the book. I found it very interesting and it was really cool seeing a bit into her life. If you're a fan of Amy Poehler, I definitely recommend this book, especially the audio book so you can hear Amy and all the funny voices she puts on. Plus, there's a few really fun guest narrators as well.

Soul Calibur V

We finally finished up Lego Batman 2 this week, but we've been squeezing in some rounds in Soul Calibur V over the last few weeks. Adam was playing this game and he introduced me to the creation part of it. Making my own characters was so much fun! Adam made quite the roster of characters as well. Let's just say we were fighting a lot as DragonBall Z and X-Men characters. Though, I had flashbacks the entire time playing this game because Adam kept telling me I was a button masher and I was being cheap. Oh, the memories of being told the same thing by my brothers while playing Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter growing up. I can't help that my button mashing allows me to beat you!

Binocular Bag

I can't say that I've had an itch for Spring yet. I'm still looking forward to so many Winter activities (skating in particular). But the Kate Spade email I received the other day did make me think some happy Spring thoughts. Look at this Flights Of Fancy Binocular Bag! It's perfect!

My Life In Photos

Looking back at photos I took this Summer, I realize that even though it was a short Summer, we had lots of fun. We made the most of the nice weather and headed to the lake often and went on some little adventures.

We had a decent amount of thunderstorms this Summer which I'm a huge fan of. They always came in quick and it was beautiful seeing it roll in.

We finally went to Old Rock and we both got iced lattes - Adam had caramel crunch and I had a s'mores one. Surprised?

I had an oreo doughnut for breakfast on the day of our move. It was sickly sweet but also pretty awesome.

We lived on fruit this Summer. It was nice picking up some Niagara fruit up here.

A date night. Drinking root beer from a giant A&W mug is ideal.

TMNT Pizza Power is actually a fun game.

Most of my evenings in August - Sex and the City and crafting.

Watching The Geekies while hanging out with all the IGGPPC staff was super fun!

I found kitty socks at Target!

New cell phone case!! *Insert big smile*

I'm going to make sure Autumn is just as fantastic as the Summer. Lots of adventures!

Birthday Wish List

My birthday is in less than a month! On one hand I'm excited for it because of obvious reasons - cake, presents, excuse to eat sweets all day, and this year I'm having a party as well. And on the other hand, this birthday is the big 3-0. Eeee...

Either way, I've been bugged by Adam to get my birthday wish list together... these are a few of my favourite things!

But really, I'm most excited to have a birthday party and be surrounded by family and friends. And of course, eat cake!

What I'm Loving Now

It seems like it's been forever since I was eligible for a cell phone upgrade.... I suffered for months with a barely working Blackberry Curve and luckily my friend offered me her iPhone 4 back at Christmas time to hold me over until I was due for an upgrade. So we just upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S4 and I'm so excited to start playing around with it! But we need cases because it's so thin and light and I'm afraid I'll drop it. I'm torn on spending a lot on a case or not.

Kate Spade

As soon as I saw this case I had a mini freak out! I've loved this Kate Spade design ever since I saw it a couple years ago. I need this case! And the tote wouldn't be horrible to own either...

I have dreams of owning a Kate Spade purse one day. I've seen a couple of customers with this same purse, but in different colours, at work and I just drool over their bags. They probably think I'm going to steal something since I'm trying to catch glances of their purse the entire time I'm helping them.

Cress

When I'm not drooling over Kate Spade, I've been eating up the third installment of The Lunar Chronicles - Cress. I've been obsessed with each book in this series so far. I adore the writing, the strong female characters, and how each story intertwines together. And the way they make similarities to the original fairy tale is fantastic! I highly recommend this series! But now that I'm caught up, I can't believe I have to wait for the fourth book, Winter, to come out still.

Dear Kitten

Whether you're a cat owner or not, I think you'll find this video cute. But if you call yourself a cat person, it's even better. It's adorable and I am now wondering if Seymore felt like this when we brought little Logan along.

What I'm Loving Now

Life has been crazy busy the last couple of weeks and Adam has barely been home. It's been... weird. I've been making extra effort to be super productive and also take in everything around me. I'm trying to look on the bright side of things and just finding happiness everywhere I can.

Some things I've been loving...

Everything on the Kate Spade website... I really want one of her purses.

All the graphic tank tops at Hot Topic.

Bangs... I can't officially decide what to do with my hair though...
