How's October been for you?

January is almost over and I'm really not sure where the month went. It's been a really snowy month. Like, tons of snow. Winter caught up and we've been shoveling every couple of days. It's been a work out. The weather has kept us inside though. Snuggling, reading, watching TV and movies... it's been nice.

Seymore is especially fond of the new bed we bought him on boxing day. It's a small dog bed which fits him perfectly.


I read through the first Lumberjanes trade this month, along with a few other books. I have the second Lumberjanes volume in my to-read pile still too.



I found Star Wars: The Force Awakens Pop! Vinyls really cheap and just had to pick them all up!


I've been adding to my sprinkle collection as I come up with more recipes I want to try.


I couldn't pass up these Valentines and stickers when I was out shopping last week.

 
I also bought a few other things this month: my first Tsum Tsum pack, a ceramic dish, and two DS games.


January has been a good start to 2016. It's been snowy and I haven't left the house much, but it's been nice and relaxing.

A couple of weeks ago we had a nice evening in. We turned on the Christmas lights, put on Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and decorated our gingerbread house. It was a nice evening and I ended up with a great sugar high.  



 
We bought a smaller than normal gingerbread kit this year since we always have too many sweets during December. I was excited to find those gingerbread men gummies at the Bulk Barn to add to our house. But I can't figure out why they picked 'cookies and cream' as the flavour. Why not gingerbread?

It's insane we're now counting down the days until Christmas, and not weeks!

Tomorrow is September and that means Fall is around the corner! Eeee!

 




This was definitely my highlight of the month because since then I feel like I've been living at work and in a time crunch when I'm at home.

It's not a secret that I'm a cat lady and obsessed with my kitties. Did you know there are cat subscription boxes out there for you to spoil your furbabies with?! I recently found out and got excited thinking about getting one for my kitties. Meowbox is one of these cat subscription box companies and they're Canadian! Every meowbox contains at least five new goodies for your cat and the treats tend to be all-natural, wholesome, organic, or locally-made. Meowbox sent me (and Seymore and Logan) the November box to review. Needless to say, we were all very excited about receiving our meowbox!
The box contained four toys and three bags of treats.

As soon as I cut the tape on the box and opened it up Seymore was basically inside the box. There was something in there that he wanted desperately. No matter how many times I pulled him off the table, he was right back inside the box. Both of the cats instantly wanted the Batnip Ball and Wooly Fun Ball. They both contain catnip and they weren't sealed in a plastic package so clearly the scent attracted the cats.

What's new? I've been spending a lot of time indoors because of the cold weather outside. I've been watching lots of TV with Adam and a few shows on my own and we've been watching a ton of movies lately. The TV show that got me all worked up this week though...

The Walking Dead

So do you watch The Walking Dead? Did you see the mid-season finale? Yeah... I know how you feel if you did. I was literally sitting on the edge of my couch during the majority of this episode. I won't give away any details because I hate spoilers. But let's just say, the show brought out a few emotions within me.
