Old Navy Halloween Shirts

Yes, I know it's still August, but I'm already in the fall and Halloween mood. The weather has cooled a bit, Pumpkin Spice Lattes arrive this week at Starbucks, and Homesense is full of fall decor. I can feel my body relaxing as I slowly turn into my cozy basic self.

Costumes are slowly arriving in stores and Halloween t-shirts and pajamas are popping up too. There are some really cute shirts available for the whole family - from subtle prints to large graphics.

Sweater Weather

It's cold and snowy and winter is officially here. To top it off, we've had furnace issues so our house has been extra cold. I'm living in extra thick socks, sweatpants, and giant sweaters. I'm finding every excuse to snuggle under blankets and I'm coaxing Seymore to come snuggle on my lap.

I've been on the lookout for comfy sweaters to add to my wardrobe for the upcoming cold months I have ahead. These are my favourites:

Clockwise from top right:
1. Meowy Catmas from Look Human
2. Cat's All, Folks from ModCloth
3. Shawl-Collar Cardi from Old Navy
4. Merry Xmas Things from Look Human
5. A Cozy Touch Sweater from ModCloth

I hope you're staying warm!

Fall Style

When looking at the long-term weather forecast I can see fall is definitely here. The temperatures are steadily dropping which means I get to pull out my leggings, boots, and cardigans!

Right now I'm on the lookout for a few wardrobe pieces to freshen up what I already own for the cooler months ahead.

Clockwise from top right corner:
1. Flurry Moc from Airwalk
I already own a pair of these and they're so comfortable and cute. But they're a few years old and don't look so nice anymore.
2. Long Open-Front Cardigan from Old Navy
I love my cardigans and a couple of mine are starting to show their age - small holes and the fabric is balling. I need a couple of new ones, and I'm so in love with the longer styles.
3. Midnight Leggings from Sweetlegs
Have you heard of Sweetlegs? Their leggings are so amazing! They're soft, super stretchy, long, and very high-waisted. If I could live in them for the rest of my life I'd be very happy.
4. Boyfriend Cardigan from Old Navy
As I said above, I love a comfy, longer cardigan!
5. Waisted Swing Dress from Old Navy
Old Navy introduced this style of dress, their swing dress, last year and I've been addicted ever since. I own a couple of their swing dresses and I want more! They're perfect to layer with leggings and boots!

What's on your fall wish list?

Sweater Weather

It's sweater weather! It's been cold and snowy and I've been wearing layers every single day! Since moving to an area that typically has a longer Winter and that Winter is crazy cold, I've been slowly buying more and more sweaters. And if last year's Winter is any indication, I will continue to live in sweaters for the next 5 months. These sweaters would be ideal to have in my wardrobe...

I don't even care that the Bumble sweater is a Men's style. It's my favourite!

Wishlist

It's no secret how much I love winter clothing and I'm on the hunt for some dresses and clothes that can be worn to family functions over the holidays. I recently stocked up on tights at Target over in the U.S. and I bought new boots from Payless. I need just a few more things and I'm ready for the winter holiday season!

Fall Wishlist

Once the sun goes down, the weather cools off completely here. I have been freezing at night since we haven't pulled out our comforter yet. I've been stealing the sheets and trying to steal all of Adam's body heat every night. I've been able to wear leggings a few times over the last couple of weeks and I finally pulled out a scarf yesturday. We are right on the edge of Fall and I love it!

Besides a cardigan, I have been very strict with my clothes shopping lately. I'm trying to buy items I can use all year and I'm looking for dresses that are an appropriate length so I can wear them everywhere, including family functions. The main thing I want to pick up soon is a new pair of riding boots to wear through the Fall and Winter with all my dresses and skirts.

I had today to myself so I spent some time 'window shopping' online. I'm so in love with these dresses.

How amazing is this pattern?? I'm sad it's sold out right now.

I will own these boots by the end of the month. I need a new pair and the last pair I bought from Payless lasted 5 years. I still wear them sometimes but the leather is so soft they slouch now and there's some tears in the outer layer.

I've said it so many times before on here, but I love the Fall season. This cool weather makes me a happy girl.

Night!

Spring Wishlist

The weather in Southern Ontario over the past week has been beautiful. It feels like Spring! Most days I've been able to go without a sweater and today I was happy to wear a dress without tights.

Even though I believe we could easily get another snowfall before Winter is up, this weather has me thinking of Spring clothes. I've been eyeing up new clothes online and in store for the Spring and Summer season.

To be honest, I can't make a wishlist of new clothes from a site like Modcloth. The reality is, it's just not in my budget. I can only treat myself to a dress from that site a couple times a year. I need to be looking at clothes that will fit into my budget, especially since some stores at my local mall normally have great sales and have discount codes for online or in-store shopping. This is why most of the clothes I'm wanting right now are from stores like Old Navy and H&M.

I'm so in love with this print!

I also have to get myself some denim capris for Spring. Last year I was working in an office so I wore dresses and skirts everyday. Now, working in a toy store, I live in jeans at work. But I definitely would like to get something else to wear once it gets warm outside.

Next week, me and Adam are heading across the border for a day to do some shopping in the U.S. I'm so excited to hit up Target! I'm sure I'll be picking up a few geeky shirts between Target and Hot Topic. My fingers are crossed that I can find a Hunger Games and Avengers t-shirt.

I hope everyone had a great weekend! It's back to work tomorrow for me. But, it's officially countdown time until I get to see The Hunger Games!
