Springtime Wish List

Yesterday was the first official day of Spring and I'm so ready for it! Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Winter-hater but I'm so done with snow and I want all the sunshine right now!

It doesn't look like Spring has actually shown up... we have a snow storm warning for later this week and it was freezing out today. But it should be around the corner! At least I hope so...

When looking at items I've pinned and saved to my bookmarks lately, it seems I have a blue obsession. I think it's going to be my Spring colour this year.

Pastels, light cotton dresses, open toed shoes... I cannot wait for some warmer weather!

Valentine Wish List

Valentine's Day is this Saturday and surprisingly both myself and Adam have the evening off together. Our work schedules don't normally line up this way but I'm not complaining. We don't normally do anything elaborate but, if we're free, we make a point of spending time together and doing something different from our everday life - whether it's a dinner we don't normally have, ordering food in, or heading out to the movies. This year we're eating dinner at home and then heading to the movies. I'm looking forward to spending a relaxing night with him.

And not that we buy anything crazy for one another, there are some things I wouldn't be opposed to receiving or wearing on this special day...

How pretty are those dresses?!? And a tea that contains both coffee and white chocolate? Yes please! And of course, anything Orla Kiely wins over my heart!

What I'm Loving Now

Are you having a wonderful weekend? Mine has been pretty busy. Work has picked up and the last couple of days have been crazy.

Orla Kiely

So it's no secret I have an obsession with Orla Kiely. Ever since Target opened in Canada I have drooled over all the Orla Kiely makeup bags that they carry. And I've maybe bought two or three... But I just found out that there will be a Yoga line in the U.S. stores designed by Orla Kiely. My fingers are crossed that it comes to the Canadian stores. Plus, I need a yoga mat. We have no carpets in the two TV rooms (I use yoga DVDs) and laminate flooring will not feel nice on my knees. At least that's how I'm going to sell my reason for buying a yoga mat to Adam.

Posh At The Party Skirt

Not often do I fall for fancier items of clothing. Ok, shoes, maybe. But typically I like a dress or skirt that can be worn everyday. It seems the one time of year that I start eyeing up clothing that can be worn at fancier events is around and during the Christmas season. So when I saw this skirt on the ModCloth website, I completely fell in love with it! Pairing it with a black strappy tank top and cardigan and black tights would be perfection.

I hope the rest of your weekend is great!

Birthday

Last weekend was my 30th birthday. It was an absolutely perfect day. We had a relaxing morning and headed out after lunch. We went to Moonlight Beach for a couple of hours. It was a hot day but it was so windy, which was kind of nice since it kept us from melting from the heat. The wind also made the lake a bit wavy which was fun when we went swimming.

My new Orla Kiely purse that I got for my birthday from my best friend!

See, windy! My hair was all over the place!

We then squeezed in a viewing of Tammy for a late afternoon movie. It was really cute and funny. I thought it was just going to be a silly comedy, but it was more than that and I really enjoyed it.

Around the corner from our apartment there's a fry truck that only opens during the Summer months so we finally tried it for dinner. We both had burgers and fries and it was so delicious! Adam also made me a homemade birthday cake - Pink Lemonade flavour! I was completely floored by the cake. It's SO pink lemonade. Absolutely yummy and he picked up a container of Birthday Cake ice cream.

It only seemed appropriate to open a pack of Razzles on my birthday, which my Aunt had given me... thirty, flirty, and thriving! I hope you get the reference.

I was completely spoiled by Adam. I'm pretty sure I acted like a kid on Christmas morning when I opened the Powerpuff Girls boxset. I'm ridiculously excited to start watching it!

It couldn't have been a better birthday. I feel beyond lucky and grateful!

Christmas Wish List

Christmas is SO soon! This holiday season is flying by! I'm super excited for Christmas and some events that lead up to it... specifically building and decorating a gingerbread house with Adam, checking out the Festival of Lights, and wrapping up the last of the gifts.

These are just a few things I'd be super happy to receive for Christmas. The holiday-themed dresses and skirt are beyond adorable and I'd wear them all Winter!
