It's been a while since I did any sewing or craft-related things. I needed to take a small break after getting ready for Toronto ComiCon last month to rest my hand and wrist. But a sunny day last week had me pulling out my camera to take pictures of my leftover stock for Etsy.
I updated my Etsy shop with some new pouches this past weekend and there's still more to add. So keep an eye on my shop.
My next convention won't be until the Summer so I'll be updating Etsy more regularly over the next couple of months. And if you're looking for a custom order, feel free to contact me! Not until the Fall will I be too busy to get any custom orders done.

December can be summarized in a few words: work, Christmas activities, kitty snuggles, Star Wars, and sleep. I guess add in 'sewing' during the first week before my last craft show. It's been a really busy month but with Christmas being my favourite holiday, I'm also finding comfort in holiday movies and activities whenever I can.
The Walking Dead captured my attention for a good chunk of the Fall and I'm sad we have to wait a couple months for it to be back on again.
I am so excited to own one of the Star Wars lipsticks from Covergirl. They pulled it from coming to Canada but I'm lucky to have some amazing U.S. friends that will send me American-only products.
How do you make Rice Krispie treats Christmasy? Add sprinkles!
Kitties snuggling bum to bum. They haven't snuggled together in a while but our basement is cold so when it happens, it's down there.
Add a Christmas tree and add instant coziness <3

Even though I already watched Love Actually this season, I'm still tempted to watch it again.

Looking back at photos, October was definitely the month of Pumpkin...
Pumpkin milkshakes, pie, tea, Peeps, ale... everything pumpkin!
I pulled out my Pac-Man leggings for Northern Game Expo, which I was selling at, and my Daryl Dixon shirt for The Walking Dead premiere.
We saw the last of Fall in October. The trees are completely bare now and the leaves have been raked up. I did enjoy all the gorgeous colours on the trees while it lasted.

I finally got my hands on the cutest Itty Bitty out there! How adorable is this little Chewbacca?!

Halloween Things
Wednesday, 21 October 2015
Halloween is around the corner and I'm getting into the Halloween mood! Between TV shows, video games, movies, and activities, Halloween is everywhere.
TV
The Walking Dead, iZombie, Scream Queens - All these shows have a horror genre theme. Watching their new episodes every week makes October feel extra spooky and a bit campy.
Video Games
Left 4 Dead - Adam and I started Left 4 Dead recently and it's so much fun. Also, a little creepy too. At one point in a campaign, I turned my character around really quickly and found myself face to face with a zombie. Well, a scream escaped my mouth and Adam couldn't stop making fun of me.
Movies
Scream 4, The Shining - We buy a lot of second-hand movies from the Hock Shop here. We picked up these movies and figured we'd watch them this month to fit with the Halloween theme.
Activities
24 Hour Halloween Party - Over at IGGPPC we're hosting another Halloween party! We're in the midst of organizing activities and blog posts. I'm very excited for everything. I'll of course be planning a yummy Halloween treat for it.
Pumpkin Carving - We picked up a couple of pumpkins yesterday which means we'll be carving them soon. It's been a tradition every since we started dating and now that we have a house, it's nice to keep them out front and light them on Halloween night.
Do you have any fun plans for Halloween or leading up to the big night?

The Walking Dead: Carol's Cookies + Season 6 Premiere
Saturday, 10 October 2015
Tomorrow, October 11th, is the season 6 premiere of The Walking Dead. The season 5 finale kicked things up in high gear and I'm incredibly excited to see what happens in this new season.
In celebration of the premiere I made up a batch of Carol's Cookies. By the way things ended in season 5, I'm doubting we'll see more of Carol's cookies. I think her nice demeanor has disappeared.
I followed this recipe:
The cookies actually taste pretty good. They're a little plain, but perfect with a cup of coffee or tea. I wouldn't be opposed to making these again, but I feel like chocolate chips, rather than melted chocolate, would make them better.
Either way I'll be snacking on these while we watch the season 6 premiere!
Are you looking forward to the new season? I can't wait!

Fan Expo Canada is less than a month away and I'm starting to freak out. Don't get me wrong, I already have a ton of stock made up for the show but I never feel like I have enough and I'll sew my butt off until a couple days before the show. It's my pattern.
I bought a bunch of new fabrics for this convention and some family members have been finding some awesome sheets for me to use as fabric too. I'm very excited and happy about these bags.
Now that I've stocked up on hobo bags, I'm moved onto extra large totes (beach bags!) and kitty kickers. I have something to work on every day this month to make sure I have the most stock possible!
So again, bear with me while I stress out and overwork myself this month!

Splattered Donuts
Sunday, 8 February 2015
Inspired by the return of The Walking Dead tonight and the fact that I've been donut-obsessed lately, I decided to make some blood-splattered donuts to eat while we watch The Walking Dead.
I used the recipe I shared last week on the blog. And when looking at these photos I'm sure you'll realize the 'blood' looks more pink than red. I used SO MUCH red food dye and I could not achieve a dark red colour. So let's pretend it's more red, OK? Thanks!
I used Cherry Chip cake mix this time and used the same vanilla glaze recipe as last time. Once the glaze had hardened, I dyed the leftover glaze red and had fun splattering the donuts using a butter knife.
The mid-season finale of The Walking Dead back in November was intense and left me wanting so much more. I can't wait to see how the story progresses.

What I'm Loving Now
Saturday, 7 December 2013
What's new? I've been spending a lot of time indoors because of the cold weather outside. I've been watching lots of TV with Adam and a few shows on my own and we've been watching a ton of movies lately. The TV show that got me all worked up this week though...
The Walking Dead
So do you watch The Walking Dead? Did you see the mid-season finale? Yeah... I know how you feel if you did. I was literally sitting on the edge of my couch during the majority of this episode. I won't give away any details because I hate spoilers. But let's just say, the show brought out a few emotions within me.

Sweaters
As I've stated numerous times, it's been freezing cold here. But I actually get to wear layers and lots of sweaters! I say this because in previous apartments we never had control of our heat so typically it was too warm in our place throughout the Winter months. But now we not only have control of our heat, but we're living somewhere colder. Needless to say, I've been living in sweaters and I'm so in love with all the geeky sweaters showing up online.
Snoopybabe
It's no surprise that I'm a cat lady. But recently I came across the most adorable cat and I want one... Snoopybabe! Snoopybabe is a cat from China, who's Instagram account has attracted a lot of attention!
Adorable!?! The profile just melts my heart!
I hope you're having a great weekend! Mine is filled with Christmas prep, sewing, TV show watching, and lots of coffee!!

I started watching Doctor Who yesturday! I say that with an exclamation mark because even after a few episodes, I get the love for the show. I was loving the Doctor and Rose together by the second episode. Their relationship is adorable! I'm excited to continue on and see David Tennant as the Doctor after this season.
I also started Season 6 of Supernatural recently. As usual, the story arc for this season has grabbed my attention and I want to keep watching episode after episode once I start. So far my favourite episode this season is, 'You Can't Handle the Truth'. Dean and Bobby make me laugh and I loved their honest conversation in this episode.
Who's up to date with The Walking Dead?!?! I've been on the edge of my seat during every recent episode. I have no idea what's going to happen and what the season finale will bring but I'm so excited for the last 2 episodes! I'm also a little scared about who might die...
The Girls season finale was good in my opinion. I'm very curious to see how Marnie and Charlie's relationship evolves next season. And even though Hannah's OCD bothered me this season, I do love that Adam came to her rescue at the end of the show. The 10 episode season is so short and it feels like a tease. It's frustrating to now have to wait for the next season!
We also started playing Rayman Origins which is super fun! I love playing video games with Adam but it can keep us up so late some nights. Besides lots of TV watching and video game playing, I've been continuously listening to She & Him's new single. I'm incredibly excited for their new album which comes out May 7th. Their album is going to be a perfect soundtrack for Spring days!
I hope everyone is having a great weekend! We have some friends coming over tonight for games and drinks!

Isn't it crazy that February is almost over?!?! This month has been filled with a lot of TV watching for me. Work has been busy and stressful so I've spent most of my free evenings trying to unwind with a show. And The Walking Dead started back up this month so of course me and Adam have been glued to our television Sunday nights! Is anyone else watching it? There were a couple of episodes that didn't grab my interest recently but last week's episode had me on the edge of my seat!
We're also rewatching Futurama right now. I'm so in love with that show. The humour is great and I so want to have my own Nibbler!
How amazing is this fan art??
As I stated before, I'm taking a small break from Supernatural. I'm currently watching Portlandia and the last two seasons of Gossip Girl. Portlandia is funny and so smart. The sketches they come up with are so accurate. I love it! As for Gossip Girl, I gave up on the show a couple of years ago. But recently I've been itching to watch a juicy, no-thinking required drama. And since Gossip Girl is ending soon, I figured I'd catch up on the last couple of seasons. It's just like I remembered but at least since I had a couple year break, the story lines don't seem as repetitive for me.
Blair... the main reason I watch the show!
Recently Tegan and Sara's new album, Heartthrob, came out. I've now listened to the whole album about 50 times... it's been my go to music when I'm on the computer lately. Luckily, they're playing at a university nearby tonight and I have tickets! I'm excited to see them play for the fourth time (that seems crazy to me). These super talented ladies have been my soundtrack throughout my twenties. I love it.
What have you been watching and listening to lately?

Treasury: Zombie Apocalypse
Sunday, 24 June 2012
How was everyone's weekend? Mine was pretty good. I worked Friday evening and all day Saturday so it didn't feel like much of a weekend for me. Last night we went to a friend's for some drinks and we spent the evening and part of the night out in their backyard. Apparently watching two seasons of The Walking Dead in a short period of a time has put me on edge. Every noise (made by 2 raccoons) made me jump. Dark shadows, stairways, and closing my store creeps me out now because I have zombies on my brain.
I love all the handmade zombie items I found on Etsy, especially all the items with cute zombies!
Have a good night!

The Walking Dead

Today I watched the season finale of the second season of The Walking Dead. Oh my... I cannot wait for season 3 to start. I thoroughly enjoyed watching The Walking Dead. We flew through the 2 seasons and after every episode I was eager to start the next.
Season 2 had a lot of character development and some episodes were on the slower side but I really didn't mind. I loved watching the characters I liked grow and for some of the characters who annoyed me (Shane, Andrea, Lori) I just spent my time getting mad at them. I didn't go an episode without yelling at the TV because of something stupid Lori did.
Now I'm pretty interested in reading The Walking Dead comics. I'd like to see how they differ from the show.
I love this picture... Daryl became my favourite quickly during the second season.
Have you watched The Walking Dead?
