My Life In Photos

October has been a great month. It's hard to believe it's almost over. I actually drove to work this morning while snow flurries came down and splattered my windshield. It's crazy to think how soon winter will be here.

But until snow shows up, I'm going to enjoy the pretty trees, fall mums, and the bit of green grass I can see under all the leaves that have fallen.

Our lawn is full of giant mushrooms right now.

We finally had a bonfire in our yard and ate s'mores!

What I'm Loving Now

It's the season of s'mores! Bonfires are happening all over my neighbourhood most nights and I can smell them whenever my windows are open. It's one of my favourite smells that brings me back to childhood. And when I smell a bonfire, my mind turns to s'mores.

S'mores Cake

When I saw this amazing cake on Pinterest my jaw dropped. It looks incredible, but the best part? When you check out the ingredients and instructions, it doesn't seem that difficult. I think this cake needs to be baked this Summer!

Maple S'mores

One of my favourite things to do with s'mores is to mix up the ingredients. There's always a toasted marshmallow involved and some sort of chocolate. But I've tried them on different types of cookies and with different flavours of chocolate. Thanks to this Walmart ad that I came across online, I'm now itching to try maple s'mores. I'm not sure why I haven't thought of this before, but it's so happening this Summer.

And to top off my s'mores list: this temporary tattoo is a must-have for me! I need it to wear when we go camping!

Are you a s'mores fan?

To Do List: Summer

It's hard to believe tomorrow is the first day of Summer since Spring went by so quickly. I'm really looking forward to Summer this year. It's our first entire Summer we're in our house and it's incredibly nice to have a yard for barbecuing, gardening, relaxing, and bonfires. I have plans for toasting marshmallows and sipping sangria during Summer evenings.

Summer To Do List:
- day trip to North Bay
- picnics at Moonlight beach and Bell Park
- lots of swimming
- camping
- bonfires and s'mores
- ice cream dates
- shop at the local market

What do you have planned for the Summer? I just want to enjoy the sunshine and warm weather as much as possible because Autumn creeps up fast here.
