Parenting is Hard

How do you reason with a toddler who's a mini version of you? I never realized how stubborn, impatient, and dramatic I was until my 3 year old grew up to be just like that and just like me.

It's been a long couple of years. We haven't had a ton of in-person visits with family and friends because of the state of the world and that means I haven't had a lot of breaks from being "Mom". It's been wearing me down and as Emma grows into an independent child with a feisty personality, I feel like I'm on the verge of a breakdown some days.

Children's Clothing: Rise Little Earthling

I feel like I've tried almost every brand of children's clothing - some are made small, made large, made cheap. My favourite is usually Carters/OshKosh. But a new brand was released and I see myself becoming obsessed with it! They have baby and toddler sizes so both my girls will be dressed in it.

Rise Little Earthling has been released by Toys R Us in Canada and it's perfect - modern but classic, soft cotton material, high quality, great colours, priced reasonably, and I find they run large which I love since both my girls are big.

Halloween Books for Toddlers

Emma is obsessed with books. We started a library for her before she was even born and we've added a ton of books since. Within her collection of books, we've acquired some seasonal books. One of her absolute favourites is a Halloween flip book - Halloween is Here! So I thought it might be great to share some book recommendations in case other parents are looking for some non-candy Halloween gift ideas.
