To Do List: May

May is here and Spring is in full-swing! We've had days upon days of sunshine and +20 degree Celsius weather. We've been spending time outside - walking, barbecuing, pulling weeds. It's be lovely.

Here are some things I'd like to do in May:
- hike at Laurentian Conservation Area
- go for walks along the boardwalk at Bell Park
- prep the gardens for vegetables, flowers, and shrubs
- go on a small road trip outside the city

I'm itching to start planting things outside but we still have to wait until the end of the month/beginning of June before the possibility of frost goes away. For now I may just buy some more indoor plants and find some adorable planters to put them in. I'm dreaming of a window sill of cactus (the cats ignore them luckily).

For now, I'm heading out to do errands, hit up a couple of places for Free Comic Book Day, and pick up a s'mores Frappuccino! It's a beautiful day to drive with my windows down and music playing loudly.

Have a good weekend!

To Do List: November

It blows my mind every time I look at a calendar now. Where has the time gone?! At the rate things are going, it'll be Christmas before I know it! So like I've done the last couple of months, I took some time at the beginning of the month to sit down and figure out what I want to do over the next few weeks before craziness hits and Christmas activities take over every day.

Autumn has pretty much disappeared here and a cold, dark Winter is slowly creeping in. So I want to do some things that'll keep my spirits high and keep out the dark, depressing days.

To-do:

- finish my first cross-stitch project which happens to be a Christmas ornament
- decorate the house for Christmas including putting up our first Christmas tree together
- make mulled apple cider
- have a movie night in with hot chocolate, popcorn and lots of blankets
- have a board game night

Do you have any special plans or traditions for this time of year?

To Do List: Autumn Edition

We've been experiencing Autumn weather most of this month and it's lovely. I've been wearing lots of layers and lighting my pumpkin-scented candles. On some outings this past weekend, I noticed some really bright red trees that have changed colour already. These trees have lit a fire under me to get working on my Autumn to-do list. I want to take full advantage of my favourite season.

Now I didn't actually put together this list and graphic, but it's EXACTLY what I want to do this season. Add in make a Halloween costume, bake lots of pumpkin treats, and snuggle cats, and that's my list!

September has been busy with guests coming to visit and my work schedule hasn't been lining up the greatest with Adam's, so I haven't been able to make it to any Fall festivals or gone on a hike yet. But you better believe those things will be happening soon!

Spring To-Do List

As Adam goes for more testing for potential jobs, it becomes more of a reality that we're more than likely moving this Spring or Summer. And this move won't be to anywhere in Southern Ontario. We'll be heading at least 6 hours away or further. This has got us talking about things we want to do or places we want to go while we're still living in the Niagara region. Our family and friends live in Hamilton so of course we'll be back this way loads of times every year, but there's some things we want to do again with just the two of us.

We've come up with a basic list so far....
* spend the day in Niagara Falls (we're only 20 minutes away from there now)
* spend an evening at Starlite Drive-in to watch a couple of movies
* go for a hike at a bunch of places - King's forest, Dundas Valley, Ball's Falls
* have a picnic
* go fishing at the canal
* spend a Sunday at Aberfoyle flea market
* eat dinner at the Arbor in Port Dover

Time is just flying by right now and I'm so excited to see where life takes us next. I just want to make a point of not taking any day for granted. I want to see and do as much as I can before we head on to the next chapter in our life.
