My Life In Photos

May has been a lovely month. Spring has started out wonderfully and I'm trying to enjoy every minute of it.

These are some of my Spring moments...

Ready for Free Comic Book Day!

S'mores Frappuccino - easily my favourite frappuccino I've ever had.

Our current favourite warm weather drink.

Let's see what else Spring brings!

To Do List: May

May is here and Spring is in full-swing! We've had days upon days of sunshine and +20 degree Celsius weather. We've been spending time outside - walking, barbecuing, pulling weeds. It's be lovely.

Here are some things I'd like to do in May:
- hike at Laurentian Conservation Area
- go for walks along the boardwalk at Bell Park
- prep the gardens for vegetables, flowers, and shrubs
- go on a small road trip outside the city

I'm itching to start planting things outside but we still have to wait until the end of the month/beginning of June before the possibility of frost goes away. For now I may just buy some more indoor plants and find some adorable planters to put them in. I'm dreaming of a window sill of cactus (the cats ignore them luckily).

For now, I'm heading out to do errands, hit up a couple of places for Free Comic Book Day, and pick up a s'mores Frappuccino! It's a beautiful day to drive with my windows down and music playing loudly.

Have a good weekend!

Geek Week

The next week is filled with geek events and it makes me so excited! First, this Saturday is Free Comic Book Day! To participate, you need to find a local store that's listed on the site, head to that store on Saturday and pick up your free comic(s)! There's one local store near us participating in FCBD so we'll be able to head out Saturday for our comics.

You can see all the comic books that will be available for free here. There are a few I'd really like to get my hands on though.

I clearly need the Gronk comic in my life. It's Katie Cook's creation! And of course the TMNT comic interests me greatly. I mean, look at that cover! I'd be interested in picking up the Bob's Burgers comic too since I find the writing on that show hilarious and I'd hope it'd be the same in the comic.

Then a week today is May the 4th, which is Star Wars Day! We have a Star Wars themed bake-along planned on the IGGPPC site for that day (though, details are not posted yet). I'm also planning on baking a themed treat for that day just for fun. Maybe some Leia buns?

Are you joining in any events for these days?
