Nobody Wants This... Actually, we all do!

Seth Cohen grew up and melted our hearts all over again. And when I say "our hearts", I mean, us, millennials. We fell for his nerdy awkwardness in The OC and now, again, all grown up as a nerdy, passionate, and very kind-hearted man. And the chemistry he has with Veronica, um, I mean, Kristen Bell, is SO good. Seriously, watch this show!

Spoilers ahead.

My Favourite Christmas Movies So Far..

Tis the season for cheesy holiday movies. All the streaming services are filled with old and new Christmas movies. And I love it!

They're meant to be cheesy, sappy, have over the top characters, and a crazy, drama-filled storyline.

I've been watching all the Christmas movies during November, new and old. And a few stand out. However, I still have all of December to keep up my movie binge watching.

Here are my favourites so far...

Falling For Christmas (2022)

Netflix Christmas Movies

It's officially Christmas season! I'm so excited for the holidays this year. I mean, it's a little weird because of the pandemic and not being able to see others. But, I feel like our family is complete this year - we have our two children and Emma is already pumped for "Kissmis". It makes my heart so full.

Gilmore Girls

Like a good chunk of the population, I'm so excited for Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life on Netflix. I am also part of the population who has to work the day it comes out - Black Friday. But since I received an opening shift and will be off work mid-afternoon I have plans with my couch, pajamas, and lots of coffee while I watch all of the Gilmore Girls episodes.

The spark of excitement for the new episodes has me wanting to start the entire series from the beginning again which I think I might do after Christmas.

But in the meantime I wanted to share these amazing items that allow you to showcase your love for Gilmore Girls...

Clockwise from top right corner:
1. Coffee, Coffee, Coffee

What I'm Loving Now: Jessica Jones

I was a little behind starting Marvel's Jessica Jones on Netflix, but as soon as we started watching it, there was no turning back. Once we got home from our Christmas visits, we started the show. After watching two episodes, this was my reaction that I posted on Twitter:

Initially I saw Jessica as a badass. Not only is she physically strong, but she has a tough demeanor. She's a smartass, sarcastic, and has no use for stupid people. She also tries very hard to not ever ask for help, but to take care of herself. As the show went on, all of these traits also became her weaknesses too. She has to find balance, which the people around her help her find - Trish, Malcolm and Luke.

Between Jessica, Trish, Hope, and Jeri, the women in this show were shown as incredibly strong but also vulnerable. It was a wonderful thing to feel a connection with so many women in one show. Not only was I rooting for them to kick some ass, but I felt all their pain and anger and sadness too.

I think seeing Trish's character develop over the episodes was one of my favourite things. Initially, I didn't realize who she was in the Marvel Universe, and for those who haven't seen it I won't spoil anything. But my initial reaction towards Trish was that she was the pretty friend who has everything together which will play off of Jessica's chaotic and messed up character. Nope. Not even a little bit. Trish is tough and strong and has a rough past that has scarred her. You see glimpses into her life, past and present, and see her sadness and why she is the way she is. I found myself rooting for her as much as I did for Jessica.

Seriously, I'm completely in love with this show and how all the characters are portrayed and developed. I really need to rewatch it now and also get my hands on the Alias trades.

Have you watched Jessica Jones yet? What'd you think?
