My Life in Photos: Fall Recap

Before winter is 'officially' here and we get caught up in Christmas, I thought I'd share a bit about our fall. It was a whirlwind full of colds, adjusting to a school routine, a wedding and all things pumpkin!

Wedding Day

Today marks the one year anniversary of when Adam proposed. It's crazy a year has gone by and the wedding was a few months ago. We planned our wedding and all the events surrounding it in a fairly short time span, but I wouldn't have done it any other way. Things came together pretty quickly and easily. We had a lot of help from our amazing friends and family and we both had a good idea of what we wanted and what we didn't want. Anyways, I haven't posted many photos from the wedding since it happened in June. I thought I'd share a few favourites of mine. Shoes

We took our photos at the Devil's Punch Bowl Market. It was a bit windy out but it was nice it was overcast. It wasn't too hot and we weren't squinting in all the photos. Plus the market itself and the surrounding orchards and fields are beautiful! Bride and Groom Bride and Groom Bride and Groom Flowers Wedding Party
This is my favourite 'fun' picture we took. There were a lot of them but I love that every one of us is having fun in this photo!

And of course our cake - vanilla cake with a different flavoured buttercream on each layer! Look at all those tiny yellow flowers <3

It's absolutely freezing out today. We went for a small walk to the dock where Adam proposed today. We couldn't stay long since we lost all the feeling in our hands.

I hope you're having a good day!

Honeymoon

For our honeymoon we went to an all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. I've never been anywhere outside of North America so it was an adventure for me. The flight was rough for me both ways - I guess I'm highly susceptible to motion sickness so I was forced to move as little as possible.

It was so incredibly hot there so we lived in the pool and ocean. If I wasn't swimming I was reading or napping in the shade. It was definitely a relaxing week for us.

This was the only crab we saw.

I would definitely consider going to another all-inclusive resort again, though, I'd try a different island.

This weekend we're headed on another little adventure... camping up north. It should be a fun and interesting weekend! I cannot wait for campfires, s'mores, and fishing!

Have a great weekend!

A New Beginning

Life has been full of changes this past year. We moved to Welland almost a year ago which has been quite the adventure full of job hunting, lots of trips to Niagara Falls, and a whole lot of walking down the paths surrounding the Welland Canal.

Then there was the engagement, 8 months of wedding planning, the wedding, and finally our honeymoon. We're still waiting on getting our wedding photos but we've been given a few sneak peeks. We ended up at the Punch Bowl Country Market in Hamilton for our photos. If you've never been I highly recommend checking it out. It's beautiful and the market is full of flowers, fruits, and amazing baked goods!

Now that the wedding is over and life is starting to get back to it's regular routine I've been focused on the summer and the events coming up. I just had my birthday last week and it hit me pretty hard that life is definitely not slowing down. I got some amazing gifts, including a Fuji Instax!! I'm in love with it and I'm going to end up spending a small fortune on film! Oh and I've become addicted to Lego Harry Potter which was a gift from the hubby. Between that game and see Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2, I've become slightly obsessed with Harry Potter yet again. I was also lucky enough to have my husband make me a custom cake. I asked for raspberry and coconut and he made a cake that tastes like a giant jelly roll - yum!

I'm on a inspirational and creative high lately. I guess that's a good thing since Fan Expo Canada is next month and I need stock for 4 days! I've been sewing constantly and cutting out projects. I'm so excited to finally get things moving again.

Well, it's late and it's back to work tomorrow. These weekends are definitely not long enough...
