Valentine's Day has never been a big event for me and Adam. Sometimes we exchange a small gift and sometimes we just go out for a meal together. Now, in no way am I hinting this post towards Adam (I swear!), but I wanted to share some of my top picks that I'd be happy to get for Valentine's Day.

Pink Lemonade Love
Wednesday, 17 July 2013
Summer is here and making itself known! We have been under a heat advisory for three days now and temperatures have been hitting the 40 degree mark with the humidity. I have been drinking so much water, iced tea, and iced coffee. But one thing I've been craving is lemonade, particularly pink lemonade. Grocery shopping is on my to-do list today so I will definitely be picking up ingredients and possibly some frozen concentrated cans of it.
Pink lemonade is one of my favourite cold drinks and it holds memories for me from our honeymoon. We spent our honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and the resort had slushy machines everywhere! They were filled with delicious, non-alcoholic, cold slushy drinks.... there was pina colada, strawberry daiquiri, and pink lemonade! I drank so much of these and now if I have any one of those drinks I instantly think of laying on the beach or wearing a sundress and sitting at one of the bars on the resort when the sun went down.
Pink and yellow are two of my favourite colours and I so want to have a 'Pink Lemonade' themed party one day. It'd be the perfect theme for a summer party!
A pink and yellow sundress is the perfect thing to wear while sipping iced cold lemonade!
I have found a few recipes through Pinterest for pink lemonade treats... I have a plan to make one of them next week... but I'm also drooling over the thought of these:
Pink Lemonade French Macaroons
Pink Lemonade Fudge
Though, that pretty pink fudge is made with this frosting.... and of course it's only available in the U.S. I wish Canada had a wider range of food products like the U.S. I would have made this fudge by now!!
What are your favourite summer drinks?

Holiday Treats
Wednesday, 5 December 2012
First, do you like eggnog? I know it's something people usually love or hate. There's no middle ground. I'm a big fan of it myself. It's sweet and creamy. And it tastes really good with rum or amaretto. It's definitely a treat I enjoy throughout December.
Recently while Christmas shopping I stopped in Sephora and came across the Philosophy Holiday line. Their Old Fashioned Eggnog Shampoo/Shower Gel/Bubble Bath smells amazing! Exactly like eggnog! I wanted to drink the bottle right there in the store.
It's a pricey bottle of shampoo so I didn't buy it. But I will definitely be checking to see if it drops in price after Christmas. Though Adam doesn't like eggnog, I like the idea of smelling like it for me!
I've also been trying the Davids Tea holiday flavours. Cookie Dough was surprisingly satisfying. The after taste really does taste like cookies. I'm eager to try their Cocomint Cream next.
My Mom picked me up a bag of Andes baking bits when she went shopping in the U.S. recently. I knew I had to try out these cookies that I came across on Pinterest using them.
Oh my, were they good! I took pictures but I didn't realize just how blurry they were until I uploaded them on the computer. My cookies had more chocolate pieces throughout them and they didn't turn out as green, even though I put in the right amount of food colouring as the recipe states. Either way, I highly recommend these cookies!
And on a completely different topic, I recently did an interview with Kristy at Indie Girl Blogs. It was posted today and there's also a giveaway! Go check it out!
