Last week we headed to Algonquin Park for a 5-day camping long weekend. We went back to Pog Lake Campground (where we camped last year). It was a great time and I fell even more in love with this area of Ontario. It's absolutely gorgeous there and pictures don't do it justice. We went on a couple of hikes, sat around the fire, looked at the night sky (the Milky Way was visible two of the nights), and played board games.
I apologize in advance for the amount of photos but it was hard to narrow down which ones I wanted to share.
We celebrated my birthday early there,so there was cake!
This view is a 10 minute walk from our campsite. It's incredible.
Dragonflies were everywhere!
Mr. Frog.
Cider and Pop 5!
Maple Cookie S'mores.
Reese Peanut Butter Cup S'mores.
Oreo S'mores.
Beaver Dam.
Mr. Beaver.
Mommy duck and baby.
More cider.
If you ever get the chance to visit any part of Algonquin Park, I cannot recommend it enough!! I'm already looking forward to next year's camping trip.

A couple of weeks ago we decided to head down to Bell Park to check out Ramsey Lake and see how things were melting. It was still incredibly snowy there. And much colder. You can still see the skating path on the lake and we saw a man sitting on the lake in his folding chair. We came across a couple of red squirrels and some ducks on our walk too.
Science North is always such an impressive sight in my opinion.

We did get some snow yesterday but it's been raining a lot lately. A lot of our snow is starting to melt finally. I want to head back to Bell Park soon to see if things are looking more Spring-like there.

He must have found this peanut on the ground. We just happened to catch him trying to eat it.

The weeks have been flying by and summer is almost over. This month is going to go by quickly since I'm still prepping for Fan Expo, which is at the end of the month, and then a week later we're moving. It's going to be crazy.

A late birthday present... Hello Kitty glasses!

A spur of the moment picnic when we went to Hamilton last.

He's learning from Seymore how to sit on his butt...

This just melts my heart.

There were a few Canadian geese along the path one evening.
And then we were being surrounded...

You can see the moon already.

We decided to go to the drive-in last night. We saw The Watch and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Both movies were alright. Nothing amazing but not a waste of money either. We just wanted to finally go to the drive-in out here since we'll be moving soon. Richard Ayoade (Moss from The IT Crowd) was probably the best part about The Watch. The movie had its funny moments but it wasn't super great. I enjoyed Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter more than I expected. The actors were alright and the fighting kept me entertained. I just kept calling Abe's wife Ramona (from Scott Pilgrim).

Swirling my tea... Secret Weapon by Davids Tea
They had the best retro intermission cartoons. I ended up with a few bug bites, but overall it was a great night.
How is your week going? Have any fun summer activities planned? Besides a couple of barbecues at my parents' and maybe possibly hitting up Festival of Friends, I doubt we'll be doing much for the rest of August. It'll be work, sewing and packing for me.

How the heck is it the middle of June?!? Where did this month go? I guess all of mine and Adam's future prospects conversations have made days fly by. It'll feels like we've gone on a million walks because the weather has been so warm out. I've spotted many ducks out and about and I was able to feed some baby ducklings last week. I went to the movies a couple times already this month. I saw Snow White and the Huntsman and I really liked it. It was a very visually pleasing movie.

You can see part of my insane fabric collection..

Looking way too excited to be headed to an engagement party... it may or may not be because I had some alcohol beforehand and I've turned into a lightweight with my drinking. You can't really see my earrings but they're HUGE. I love them.

Kiwis and probiotic yogurt have become my new obsession.

I got a 'trim' this week... yeah, it's like 2-3 inches shorter. I'm annoyed because I was liking my length recently but I needed the ends trimmed. I need 3 months to go by so I can get back to this length.
Today has been a day full of errands and baking for me. Tomorrow is Father's Day and my Grandad's birthday so we'll be heading into Hamilton for some swimming and then dinner. I'm excited to get in my parents' pool.
How is your weekend treating you?
