What I'm Loving Now

The theme of April seems to be 'waiting for warm weather and sunny days'. This post is no different.

Bath and Body Works

I had the chance to go wander around Bath and Body Works recently and I spent a long time smelling all their new scents. I fell in love with so many. Surprisingly I fell for more of their body products than candles this time around. They've released a bunch of summer-themed products; aloe gel lotions, coconut scents, body scrubs. I plan on impatiently waiting for a sale where I can use a coupon on top of the sale to go coconut and pineapple crazy!

Smoothies

We've been on a smoothie kick in our household lately. Fresh fruit, frozen fruit, leftover almond milk or yogurt close to expiry, chia seeds. It's been an easy way to include some fruit into our diets and use up random ingredients from our fridge. I've experimented with green smoothies in the past but we no longer have kale or spinach on hand. We buy different greens since we share them with our pet turtles. But after seeing this super handy graphic, I'm realizing there's nothing stopping me from trying green smoothies with the other lettuce we have on hand.

What have you been loving lately?

My Life In Photos

Winter showed up pretty abruptly over the last couple of weeks. We went from gorgeous yellow trees to bare trees in a matter of a couple of days. I have found out that raking leaves is one of my least favourite chores.

Fall is great for all the yummy limited edition food!

Bath and Body Works is my weakness all year round but their cold-weather scents (pumpkin, apple, peppermint) are my absolute favourite.

I finally purchased Movie Night tea from Davids Tea and I love it!
Coffee all the time to keep me warm.

Smoothie from Tutti Fruitti

Sour Pumpkin Saison that was so tasty!
Now that fall is over I'm officially in the holiday spirit! My house is almost completely decorated for Christmas, a good chunk of my gifts have been purchased, and I'm starting my baking list this week to plan out all the holiday cookies I want to bake.

How's November been treating you?

My Life In Photos

September flew by but I'm doing everything I can to enjoy this season. I'm eating all things pumpkin, baking, burning fall scented candles, and snuggling on the couch with kitties.

Sunset down at Pier 4 in Hamilton.
A Pumpkin Spice cupcake to start the day!
I'm so happy I found these chocolates. They were delicious and now they're gone from stores. I can't find them again!
Another little pumpkin for my collection.
I forgot I bought these last year during a sale. The vanilla pumpkin marshmallow candle is easily one of my favourite scents.
New fabric for upcoming shows.
Some easy and delicious cookies.
Getting fancy for a wedding.
How cute is this tiny personal-sized wine bottle?!
September was a great month. Now to see what October holds!

Cold Weather

It's been quite cold recently. We had to turn on our heat and I'm bundled in sweaters constantly. This is not me complaining though. I like snuggling, I like sweaters, and I like when the air is chilly. I'm finding myself wanting to nest at home right now and surround myself with cozy and comforting things. These are a few items I'd love to pick up.

Drinking wine, candles, blankets, ear muffs, notebooks... all things I want right now.

What do you find comforting in cold weather?
