Current Obsessions

So I finally finished watching Bones. I just need  to catch up on this past year's season. Finishing up the boxsets was kind of sad. I think I may have to buy all the seasons to re-watch the show again.

Now I have moved on to watching Shameless. I'm only a few episodes in but so far I'm enjoying it. There's definitely certain characters and actors that have drawn me in. I'm also watching Season 6 of Golden Girls. I love that show so much! It's absolutely hilarious. I bought the entire series a while ago so I'm just slowly going through it.

I recently finished up Batman The Animated Series as well. Every show I was watching finished up about the same time it seemed. Even me and Adam finished up Adventure Time around the same time. I decided to start Gargoyles for when I'm crafting since Adam owns the seasons. It brings me back to my childhood. It's a great show.

Me and Adam are finally getting around to watching The Walking Dead. We're only 3 episodes into the first season and it's awesome so far. Every episode is like a mini movie. Of course watching the show has made us discuss our zombie apocalypse plan. I really don't think I'd last long and if I did it would only be because of Adam.

I'm still reading our X-Men comics. I'm finally reading issues from the 90s and I was just introduced to Gambit! I'm going to take a small break shortly to catch up on Morning Glories and to finally read Fairest.

What shows or books are you into right now?

  1. First, I have to say that I am so jealous that you are just now watching season 1 of The Walking Dead. Oh to be seeing it again for the first time... I watched S1 about 7 times before season 2 premiered. I guess you could say I'm a bit obsessed with the series. I think it's because I've always been a fan of the zombie genre, and TWD comic and show get it so right. Scary, heartbreaking, tense and not the least bit cheesy. Moving on... my current obsession is with the TV series Supernatural. Have you watched it? If not, then add it to your list of shows to catch up on. I started watching it on my own a few months ago and got up to season 6. One day, my hubby walked in while I was watching an ep and he sat down and started watching. I knew from the look in his eyes (and the many questions he asked) that he was hooked. He decided to start watching it from season 1, and I immediately got sucked into his mini-marathons. We're up to season 4 now. I think I'm more into it this second time around because he and I can chat about it. At this point, every time a light flickers or there's static on the radio we look at each other and ask "demon or ghost?". LOL!

    1. I just finished season 1 of The Walking Dead tonight! It was sooo good. I agree that it's the perfect zombie story. It's incredibly realistic. I'm excited to start season 2 tomorrow.

I've never seen Supernatural. I have a friend who really loves the show though. I should probably give it a try.

  2. Woah- I think we might actually be the same person! :) In addition to a joint love of cake, Batman, and Adamantium-coated Hugh Jackman, I've just started watching Shameless too (about 9 years after the rest of the world, it seems), and I'm really enjoying it. A bit of Shameless trivia for you - James McAvoy and Anne Marie Duff (who plays Fiona) met on the show and are now married in real life! And she's 9 years his senior (not that it matters- I was just shocked because they look the same age on the show). Katie x (@teaandcaketime)

    1. Haha we really are the same person! I'm always behind on television shows. We don't get cable so I borrow a lot of boxsets from friends. I tend to be at least a season or two behind on everything.

I've watched a few more episodes of Shameless since this post and I'm definitely enjoying it the more I watch it.
