What I'm Loving Now

Since I've been busy outside a lot lately, I'm not watching as much TV. Though, we have been heading to the movie theatre more regularly for date nights since all the Summer movies are being released. It seems like we'll be going to the movies every week this Summer with all the new movies coming out.

Jurassic World

We finally got the chance to see Jurassic World at the theatre and I really enjoyed it. The story line was predictable and there wasn't much character development, but it was very entertaining. I enjoyed all the actors. Chris Pratt was great and I really liked Jake Johnson (Nick from New Girl). There were plenty of moments where I jumped in my seat or threw my hand over my mouth. It was a very good Summer blockbuster movie.

Inside Out

The first time we went to see Jurassic World, the movie was basically sold out so we decided to see Inside Out instead. I cannot get over how sweet and adorable this movie was. All the different characters were amazing and they all made me laugh. This movie definitely triggered a lot of feelings and I found myself tearing up at numerous parts, but also laughing a lot too.

The DUFF

I recently finished The DUFF audio book and I really, really liked it. I pretty much got the audio book because I want to see the movie because Mae Whitman is in it. The book surprised me. I enjoyed the bluntness of the writing and it felt more realistic than some of the sugar-coated YA high school books. I can now get around to watching the movie.

What movies and books have you been into lately?

  1. I wanna see both Jurassic World and Inside Out! We'll probably have to wait until they're at the dollar theater though. To be honest, I'm more of a wait-for-DVD / DirectTV kind of person, but I would l-o-v-e to see Jurassic World on the big screen!!!

The last movie we watch was Aladdin. ♥ Yay Disney! Before that, Jen surprised me with How To Train Your Dragon 2. I love the HTTYD series, so much. I can't even begin to describe.

Book wise, I'm mainly a manga person! I'm reading Fushigi Yugi right now and it's so good. :o

  2. I'm so excited to see Inside Out, but it won't hit theaters over here until the end of August, so I'll have to wait. Boo! Watching Jurassic Park next week, though. I hope it isn't too scary (it probably is, heh).
