Hello July

Happy Canada Day! Unfortunately, it's cold and rainy here today. It's nice to have a day off to get things done at home, but it would have been nice to have some sunshine to head outside for a bit today. I feel bad for everyone wanting to set off fireworks tonight since it's so wet and chilly out there.

It's hard to believe today is July 1st. At the rate that June flew by at, Summer is going to be over sooner than I'd like. Which means I better take every opportunity I get to eat cotton candy, head outside in the sun, and go swimming.

I've completely fallen head over heels for pastel colours recently. Whether it's because they have a vintage Summer appeal or remind me of hanging out at the beach, either way I've been feeling inspired by muted, pretty colours.

What are you looking forward to in July?

  2. COTTON CANDY! ♥ Summer is the season for 4th of July, Utah's Independence Day, my birthday, Jen's birthday and our anniversary. I love all of that. But I am a huge fan of Autumn. I'd rather have a week of rain than a week of sun, though I do honor the sun because it's important! ♥ I try to get into the habit of enjoying Summer weather when I can, so I focus on stuff like fresh fruit, camping, etc.

I l-o-v-e pastels! The whole color theme you posted is soooo pretty!

In July, outside of the 4th and such, my b-day is on July 28th! I can't wait. ^_^

    1. It sounds like July was busy and fun for you! I prefer Autumn too. I took advantage of Summer weather a lot this year. I'm ready for Fall now.
