Niagara Falls Comic Con Recap

This past weekend was Niagara Falls Comic Con. It was my second time doing the show and I had a ton of fun again this year. I really enjoy the venue, crowd, and staff at this convention. Everything is very organized and I'm just in love with the table space they give you in Artist Alley. Typically at conventions everyone is squished into Artist Alley, there's no back drop, and you have little to no room behind you. But at the Niagara Falls convention, you actually get your own personal area. This makes for a much more comfortable weekend since you have a bit of room to move, breathe, and put your extra stock.

I found the trend this past weekend was Doctor Who, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Ghostbusters. All of which makes sense seeing as there were guests from each fandom.

On the first day I met a fellow IGGPPC member, Kacie. She was such a sweetheart and I'm so happy we were finally able to meet in real life. And she looked pretty awesome in her cosplay.

The food selection at this convention was actually quite good. They had a stand selling cotton candy, candy apples, and candied nuts. All of which tempted me all weekend. We ended up having poutine for dinner on Friday.

There was some great cosplay over the weekend. I uploaded a ton of photos over on my Facebook page if you want to see more!

My favourite outfit all weekend was what I wore on Saturday. I'm so in love with this Harry Potter shirt and I finally got to wear my new mid-length cotton skirt. It's absolutely perfect for warm weather and super comfortable.

My favourite part about this past weekend was meeting Ernie Hudson again. I'm a HUGE fan of Ghostbusters and a few years ago I was able to get a picture with Ernie Hudson at a convention in Toronto. It was a random encounter since he was actually walking around the show floor. This time I headed to his table with my Mom but he was walking away from it. My Mom quickly told him we were huge fans and he hugged us both. Needless to say I was left speechless after this.

It was a fantastic weekend and this convention only makes me more excited for Fan Expo Canada in August. I'm exhausted though so I'll be doing my best to rest and relax as much as I can this week.

I hope you had a great weekend too!
