I have always liked Halloween for as long as I can remember. There's something about the evening that I really like (besides the candy)... I love being out on the street and seeing so many other kids and parents walking around. You never seen a neighbourhood that alive. As I've gotten older, my favourite thing to do is hand out candy at my parents'. I love seeing the children in the costumes and some of the really young kids are beyond adorable.
But now that I've eaten way too much Halloween candy, I get to move onto the next holiday. November 1st marks the start of the Christmas season for me, which is my FAVOURITE holiday season!! There's always so many goodies I want to bake, crafts to make, movies to watch, and other activities to do so I start the Christmas season right away.
I'm starting the season off with a bang. I'm going on a Christmas shopping excursion with some family this weekend. We always go away for a night to do shopping in the U.S. I look forward to it every year.
Don't get me wrong, I will be buying clearance Halloween candy and I still have pumpkin treats to try out. But Christmas makes me feel like a child. What are you looking forward to this holiday season?
